Eastside

Interest in East Austin has soared in recent years as it's close proximity to Downtown has fueled renovations of older homes and ignited new construction of homes and condominiums.  A very local Austin vibe is found here where hip restaurants and watering holes coexist with single family neighborhoods and mixed use properties for live work play.

Some homes date back as far as late 1800's but most were built from 1910 on and mostly start in the 400's with some fine properties exceeding $1 million.  Condo prices start in the 300's with several new communities under construction.  Lady Bird Lake and its trails are at the southern edge of the Eastside, the northern parts of this area are very close to the University of Texas.
